The Ibn Sina Institute of Tibb has joined hands with ITV Networks to produce the show ‘Medicine of the Prophet (Tibb Al-Nabawi) – guiding viewers through the concepts and wisdom of Prophetic Medicine. These 20 weekly episodes will enlighten and empower all who seek to learn more about health.
The show aims to educate viewers on the philosophical principles and practical applications of healthcare from the Tibb/Greek medicine perspective. Topics range from the central concepts through the treatment of disease, providing practical guidelines on healthy lifestyle with respect to diet, breathing, exercises, sleep patterns, managing emotions as well as the effective eliminations of toxins. Viewers will be informed on how to take care of themselves based on their uniqueness and by taking a few simple, practical steps to promote their well-being. Practical advice is given on the various topics, enabling viewers to participate actively with the concepts and ideas.
Professor Rashid Bhikha, Chairman of the Institute, is the anchor on the show, providing his expertise alongside other guest speakers. The Institute is involved in all aspects of producing the show, from set design to script writing. Various individuals at the Institute and its affiliates contribute their invaluable expertise on a wide range of topics.
ITV Networks is broadcast on DSTV channel 347. Each episode premiers on Tuesdays at 09:00pm, with repeats on Wednesdays at 2:00pm and Saturdays at 9:00am of the same week.
